note - i am very aware that dick was trained by bruce and is not only incredibly physically fit but also practically a genius. however i think dc severely overestimates how strong & skilled dick is - there are a lot of villains who he should very well get decimated by (see: blockbuster) but doesn't because he has main character armor. dick is not in peak human condition, just really good.

๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐: these dual fighting baton-like sticks are nightwing's weapon of choice. his escrima are capable of shooting a grappling line and are hollow so they can store smoke bombs. the sticks can also combine together and twist into a bo-staff. both sticks are also capable of emitting up to 100-thousand-volts of electricity.
๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: similar to the batarangs, these throwing weapons are shaped like both nightwing's domino mask and his logo. there are several versions of these used to serve different purposes: some are shuriken-like with sharp edges, meant to inflict damage; others have rounded edges and return back to the user, like boomerangs, meant to distract and/or disarm enemies.
๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐: a sleek, skin-tight suit made of flexible kevlar, able to withstand gunfire to a moderate degree. this suit is tailored to suit his "move more, get hit less" fighting style. the suit is black with a blue bird-shaped logo spanning his chest, shoulders, and back. there are blue stripes down the outer sides of his arms to mimic bird wings. he has several suits in his closet, some of which are full bodysuits and some of which are a shirt + leggings combo.
๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐: a mask to cover his eyes. it appears unremarkable, but it has various capabilities - it can be used to track a person, detect radio waves, and has both thermal and night vision. to protect nightwing's identity, the mask must be removed in a particular way or it will electrocute whoever attempts it. (if they're able to withstand the shock, they may be able to remove it.) the mask itself is entirely black with blue markings underneath his eyes. the eyes made of a white mesh material that dick is able to see through, but hides his eyes from the outside.
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐/๐๐๐๐๐๐: kevlar gloves used to store hidden gadgets (remote bombs, sonic devices, grapple lines, a few dozen lockpicks, a needle for chemical analysis). gloves are wired to deliver one charge of an 150-thousand-volt shock. the gloves are black with a blue stripe across the top of his middle and index fingers that lines up with the 'wing' down his arm.
๐๐๐๐๐: skin-hugging, slip-resistant thigh-high boots. the boots are black with blue soles and a blue stripe along the cuff. the soles also have a nightwing logo in the middle... not stealthy, but stylish.
note - he also has various vehicles such as the wingcycle and a paraglider, both of which he built himself. a lot of them get wrecked in fights, though.

๐. canon is dead and i will write whatever i want. obvious exceptions aside (parental death, bruce's mentorship, batfam, the titans) there's just some stuff i either don't acknowledge or do not know because dick grayson is an 80 year old character with tons and tons of lore.๐๐. most inspiration draws from (new) teen titans & nightwing (1996), but i'll pick and choose from whatever i like. (for example, a lot of rebirth/2016 is bad, but i enjoy a lot of the raptor plotline so i'm stealing that too.) just don't assume things about my muse, we all know at this point that we should be talking about threads and plots.๐๐๐. please note, while it will most likely not come up in threads because we are all normal here and we're not doing anything shitty... following canon, dick is a victim of sexual assault (twice) & child sexual assault (repeated). i will not be erasing that, but it won't be mentioned in any explicit detail. if it's ever mentioned, it'll be tagged! i just believe that these situations informs the way he approaches relationships and will not be removing that.
๐๐ง. while i don't enjoy how a lot of shitty dc writers tend to write in dick being sexualized and borderline if not explicitly sexually harassed and assaulted for laughs, i'm also not against a grown ass man being sexual in general. again, i don't intend on having any explicitly sexual threads on my blog (maybe sinday at the most), but i'm also a grown ass adult. if i make a sexual joke or call him a whore and you get upset, just log off and take a breather. if you don't like when people sexualize dick grayson... maybe just sit this one out.๐ง. please keep in mind that everything i write is either from experience or with extensive research. just reach out to me if i do something that seems weird to you and i can explain myself. i'm well aware that even with experience or research, there's area for fucking up and i would rather have someone confront me than to continue doing something that is potentially harmful!
